Jean Monnets Wohnhaus
Jean Monnet's former home provides the museum setting for an insight into the life and work of the statesman who was one of the founding fathers of the European Union. The exhibition experience begins in the historic garden with the presentation of Jean Monnet as a young cosmopolitan. The first floor is dedicated to the years 1945 to 1979: the historical rooms present Monnet's decades of work, which took place not least here. Visitors also get to know the private man, learn more about his character and his family life. The upper floor conveys Jean Monnet's legacy for Europe. Interactive media stations provide up-to-date information on the EU and its inhabitants and show how European decisions affect our everyday lives.
