Wagenhallen
With their cultural uses, Stuttgart's Wagenhallen radiate far beyond the state capital. A refurbishment was on the agenda. The former locomotive remise, built from 1895 onwards, was to be preserved as an attractive location. The original form of the carriage halls was peeled out of the existing ensemble, the original substance was carefully restored and the lively surfaces were preserved. Contrasting with the historic steel structure and the brick exterior walls were the necessary new fixtures and structural additions in a color-reduced design. The different layers of time are clearly visible.
